On March 10, 2024, Lakeland Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) received information on a male wanted on a Canada-wide warrant in the area of Cold Lake.
With assistance from Police Dog Services, Cold Lake RCMP and Bonnyville RCMP the male was apprehended without incident.
A 37-year-old individual was charged with the following:
- Resist/obstruct peace officer;
- Dangerous operation of motor vehicle;
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000;
- Possession of property obtained by crime less than or equal $5000;
- Operate motor vehicle while prohibited; and
- Flight from peace officer.
The individual was brought before a justice of the peace and remanded into custody. He will be appearing in the Alberta Court of Justice in Cold Lake on May 22, 2024.
