On February 20, 2024, 18-year-old Dredynn Kenneth Ducharme was arrested without incident in Winnipeg by the Manitoba Integrated Violent Offender Apprehension Unit.
He remains in custody on a charge of Second-Degree Murder.
On February 15, 2024, 18-year-old Dredynn Kenneth Ducharme of Grand Rapids was charged with 2nd Degree Murder, in relation to the homicide of a 23-year-old male that occurred in Pinaymootang First Nation on February 12, 2024.
A warrant for his arrest has been issued.
Ducharme is described as 6', 140 lbs with longer black hair and brown eyes, and believed to be in Winnipeg.
He is considered ARMED and DANGEROUS. Do NOT approach. If seen, call police immediately.

On February 12, 2024, at approximately 11:50 PM, Gypsumville RCMP responded to a shooting in Pinaymootang First Nation.
Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive 23-year-old male outside of a residence. Officers provided first-aid, including CPR, but he was later pronounced deceased on scene.
RCMP Major Crime Services, along with Gypsumville and Ashern RCMP, and RCMP Forensic Identification Services, are on scene and continue to investigate.
