Gods Lake Narrows, Manitoba

On June 30, 2024, at approximately 3:40 pm, Gods Lake Narrows RCMP responded to a drowning on the south side of Gods Lake.
A group of children, ranging in age from 5-12, were swimming, when one child, a 7-year-old female, went under the water. The other children ran and got help, and an adult attended and was able to pull her out of the water and began first aid.
The child was taken to the nursing station where she was pronounced deceased.
Gods Lake Narrows RCMP continue to investigate.
