On May 3, 2024, Fort Chipewyan RCMP, with assistance from Wood Buffalo RCMP Crime Reduction Unit, conducted a motor vehicle check stop in Fort Chipewyan.
As a result of the check stop, RCMP have seized a sizeable amount of suspected crack cocaine as well as several vapes. The total value of seized illicit drugs and vapes is approximately $60,000.
Two adult males have been arrested with charges pending. Both males are in custody awaiting judicial interim release hearings.
