On July 4, 2024, Jerome Moore was arrested in Winnipeg. The RCMP thanks the public and the media for their assistance.
On June 7, 2024, RCMP arrested Perry Durocher in Winnipeg.
Police continue to look for Jerome Moore, 23. The RCMP Emergency Response Team attended the community on June 7, 2024, to assist with arresting Moore. However, he was not located. He is considered violent and the public is advised not to approach him, but to call police immediately.
Investigators are aware there are video and photos relating to the incident that are circulating. On June 5, 2024, the investigation into the death of the 51-year-old male, from Fisher River Cree Nation, led to the arrest of two female youths (16, 14), both from Fisher River Cree Nation, who have been charged with Manslaughter. They remain in police custody.
RCMP have issued a Warrant of Arrest out for Perry Durocher, 19, and Jerome Moore, 23, as both have been charged with Manslaughter in relation to this homicide.
Durocher is believed to be in Winnipeg and Moore is believed to be in Norway House.
RCMP are asking the public not to approach them but to report any information or sightings immediately to police. On June 1, 2024, Fisher Branch RCMP responded to a report of a missing person from the Fisher River Cree Nation.
This morning, multiple resources, including RCMP Major Crime Services, D Division Search and Rescue and Police Dog Services, attended to the community to assist with the search.
Late this afternoon, the body of a 51-year-old male from the Fisher River Cree Nation, had been located in the RM of Fisher. The death is being treated as a homicide.
The victim appears to have been targeted and there is no indication of any ongoing threat to public safety.
Fisher Branch RCMP, along with Major Crime Services and Forensic Identification Services, continue to investigate.
