On Jan. 24, 2024, at 2 a.m., Edson RCMP responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a local residence. Upon arrival, it was determined that two people were injured, and both were transported by EMS to a local hospital. They have since been released from the hospital.
An investigation ensued and, as a result, a 64-year-old individual, a resident of Edson, was arrested and charged with attempted murder.
The 64-year-old individual was brought before a justice of the peace and remanded into custody with a next court appearance set for Feb. 6, 2024, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Edson.
