Dauphin RCMP stolen vehicle complaint leads to multiple arrest

On January 30, 2024, at approximately 5:20 am, Dauphin RCMP responded to a report of a theft of a motor vehicle from a residence located on 1st Street SW in Dauphin.

Patrols were made in the area but the vehicle was not located.

At approximately 9:45 am, RCMP received information that the stolen vehicle had been observed driving erratically at high speeds in Crane River.

Officers from the Ste Rose du Lac, Winnipegosis, and Dauphin RCMP Detachments along with the Manitoba West District CREST unit conducted patrols in the area and located the suspect vehicle. A traffic stop was initiated however he refused to stop for police.
Due to public safety concerns, a pursuit was not initiated.

A short time later, RCMP received information that the suspect vehicle had just left a gas station in Skownan and was now southbound on PR 276.

Patrols made in the area located the suspect vehicle abandoned on PR 328, located east of Waterhen, with numerous sets of footprints leading into a wooded area.

With the assistance of RCMP Police Dog Services (PDS), RCMP
Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS), Manitoba Conservation and Winnipegosis EMS, four suspects were tracked deep into the wooded area and taken into custody.

The following four suspects, whom all had outstanding warrants out for their arrest, were remanded into custody;

  • Mason Moar, 19, charged with Flight from Police, Resist Arrest & Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.
  • George McDonald, 18, charged with Resist Arrest & Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.
  • Denine Flett, 32, charged with Resist Arrest & Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.
  • Salita Beaulieu, 27, charged with Resist Arrest & Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

Ste Rose du Lac RCMP are continuing the investigation.
