On Jan. 31, 2024, Cochrane RCMP received a call of a disturbance at a local residence. The complainant reported that the victim had been seriously injured and was being transported to a Calgary hospital. The suspect was still in the residence.
Officers attended, and the suspect surrendered to police without incident.
A 73-year-old individual, a resident of Rocky View County, has been charged with attempted murder. The 73-year-old individual appeared in Calgary court on Friday, Feb. 2, 2024, where the matter was adjourned until Feb. 5, 2024.
