On July 10, 2024, at approximately 2:20 pm, Berens River RCMP received a report of a two-vehicle collision on the all-weather road, located approximately 20 kilometres south of Berens River.

Officers attended the scene and have determined that a 5-ton transport truck, being driven by a 63-year-old male from the RM of St Andrews, was travelling northbound when it struck the right-hand side of the blade and rear portion of a grader which was also travelling northbound on the all-weather road.

The transport truck then rolled onto its side and into the ditch. The 63-year-old male driver was pronounced deceased on scene.

The 40-year-old male operator of the grader was not physically injured.
