70-year-old man dies following single-vehicle crash

A 70-year-old man from Fredericton, has died following a single-vehicle crash in Dumfries, N.B.

On July 26, 2024, at approximately 8 p.m., members of the Keswick RCMP detachment, Dumfries Fire Department and Ambulance New Brunswick responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle on Route 102 in Dumfries.

The collision is believed to have occurred when the driver, traveling Eastbound, lost control and was ejected from his motorcycle. The driver and sole occupant of the motorcycle died at the scene as a result of his injuries.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist is assisting with the investigation. Route 102 in Dumfries was closed for approximately 3 hours, and has since re-opened.

The investigation is ongoing.
