64-year-old man dies following single-vehicle crash

A 64-year-old man from Quispamsis, has died following a single-vehicle crash in Stoney Creek, N.B.

On June 18, 2024, at approximately 5 p.m., members of the Caledonia Region RCMP detachment responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle on Highway 114 in Stoney Creek. The driver and sole occupant of the motorcycle died at the scene as a result of his injuries.

The collision is believed to have occurred when the motorcycle drifted to one side of the roadway and collided with the guardrail.

Members of the Hillsborough Fire Department, Ambulance New Brunswick, an RCMP collision reconstructionist and a member from the New Brunswick Coroner's Office also attended the scene. An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the man's exact cause of death.

Route 114 in Stoney Creek was closed for approximately 3 hours, and has since re-opened.
