A 37-year-old man from Shawinigan, Q.C. has been charged in connection with a child luring investigation in Dieppe, N.B.
On December 21, 2023, members of the Codiac Regional RCMP received a report of child luring in Dieppe. Through the investigation, police were able to identify a suspect.
On February 15, 2024, police executed a search warrant at a residence in Dieppe in connection with the investigation. During the search, police located and seized digital evidence, and a 37-year-old man was arrested at the scene.
Later the same day, Olivier Boisvert appeared in Moncton Provincial Court and was charged with:
- Luring a child
- Invitation to sexual touching
- Making sexually explicit material available to a child
He was remanded into custody, and is scheduled to return to court on February 20.
The investigation is ongoing, and police are working diligently to determine if there were other victims. Olivier Boisvert was using the username "TTVSkorp0" on the XBOX game "Dead by Daylight" as well as on the Discord platform.
