On June 6 and 7, 2024, members of the New Brunswick RCMP's Tactical Traffic Enforcement Unit (TTEU), along with Provincial Motor Vehicle Inspectors from the Department of Justice and Public Safety, conducted a traffic enforcement operation targeting unsafe and modified vehicles in Hartland, Centreville, Florenceville-Bristol, and Perth-Andover.
During the operation, a total of 63 traffic violation tickets were issued under the New Brunswick Motor Vehicle Act which included 13 tickets for not having a current inspection certificate, nine tickets for an expired vehicle registration, eight tickets for having an unsafe vehicle, and five tickets for driving without a valid licence.

"The focus of the RCMP Tactical Traffic Enforcement Unit is on behaviours that are the greatest risk to the public, whether it be driving behaviours or criminal activity," says unit Sergeant Ghislain David, "We all have a role to play when it comes to making our roads and communities safer, and our top priority continues to be keeping the public safe by limiting the number of dangerous drivers and vehicles on our roadways."
