21-year-old man dies following single-vehicle crash

A 21-year-old man from Saint-Sauveur, N.B., has died following a single-vehicle crash in Hacheyville, N.B.

On August 25, 2024, at approximately 10:30 a.m., members of the Tracadie RCMP detachment responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash on Route 363 in Hacheyville. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle died at the scene as a result of his injuries.

The crash is believed to have occurred when the driver lost control of the vehicle, veered off the roadway, and collided with several trees.

Members of the Saint-Isidore Fire Department and Ambulance New Brunswick also attended the scene. An RCMP Collision Reconstructionist and a member of the New Brunswick Coroner's Office are assisting with the ongoing investigation. An autopsy will be scheduled to determine the man's exact cause of death.
