On June 14th, 2019 Inuvik RCMP responded to a call for service of an adult male who was seriously assaulted. Police attended the location and initiated an investigation. The injured male sought medical attention for his injuries and was released from hospital a short time later. Police identified 3 males in connection to the assault and located them at the Jak Park campground. A search warrant was prepared and executed for the campground and three (3) males were arrested.
Police located approximately 330 grams of crack cocaine valued at $49,000.00, 220 grams of marijuana valued at $4,000, and a significant sum of Canadian Currency.
- Justin CALLIOUX has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine (CDSA 5(2)), and Assault Causing Bodily Harm (s. 267(b) C.C.).
- Joshua HOULE has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine (CDSA 5(2)), and Uttering Threats against Property (s. 264.1(1) C.C.).
- Coltyn PETRUNIAK has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine (CDSA 5(2)), and Assault Causing Bodily Harm (s. 267(b) C.C.).
No member of the public or police were injured during the execution of the search warrant and police are not seeking any other suspects in relation to this investigation.
