One man has been arrested following the seizure of drugs, contraband tobacco and cash at a roadside checkstop in Acadie Siding, N.B.
On February 23, 2019, at approximately 9 p.m., members of the New Brunswick RCMP Tactical Traffic Enforcement Unit stopped a car on Highway 126 and noticed contraband tobacco inside.
A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed what appears to be methamphetamine tablets and other drugs. A large quantity of Canadian money was also seized.
A 57-year-old man from Collette, N.B., was arrested and released on a promise to appear.
The man is schedule to appear in Moncton Provincial Court on June 25, 2019.
The investigation is ongoing.
